PB West is a First Nations-owned, Supply Nation certified social enterprise specialising in providing services and working with people who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing trauma.
We offer PBA certified Protective Behaviours, child safety and trauma-informed practice training. We are Western Australia’s only internationally certified Protective Behaviours trainers. Growing the base of authentic Protective Behaviours practitioners is one of our goals.

PB West stands as the premier provider of specialised training and services for schools seeking to enhance child safety, wellbeing and educational outcomes. With a foundation in human rights and a core commitment to the principle that “everyone has the right to feel safe”, PB West delivers evidence-informed programs in Protective Behaviours, trauma-informed practice, restorative justice frameworks, child protection fundamentals and curriculum development. Founded in 2018 with the endorsement of the former Protective Behaviours Board, PB West is a dedicated personal safety, self-empowerment and Protective Behaviours organisation.
We are the only provider in Western Australia, and one of the few in Australia, recognised by Protective Behaviours International and endorsed by the Protective Behaviours Association in the United Kingdom. This international affiliation ensures our programs incorporate the latest global methodologies and research, while our for-purpose business model allows for agile, values-driven service delivery.
Directed by Jodie Ferguson, an internationally recognised trainer and committee member of the Protective Behaviours Association, PB West emphasises self-determination and empowerment across the ecological systems surrounding children. Our team of highly qualified trainers delivers programs that are trauma-informed, highly relevant and culturally sensitive.
